During the summer of 2021, here in the studio we were called by Campari to create a design piece to be presented during the Design Week in Milan inspired by the famous Campari Soda bottle, an iconic element of Italian design, designed in 1932 by Fortunato Depero.
Starting from the concept of the aperitif, very important in Italy, the bottle of Campari Soda and the desire to return to celebrate together after a year of pandemic, we embarked on the idea of creating a stool for home, bar and clubs, inspired by the silhouette of the bottle but with the possibility of splitting it in two, so you can share the aperitif with anyone, anywhere.
The DUO stool was then presented at the Italian Design Museum (ADI) in Milan during the 2021 design week and exhibited in the Deodato Gallery. 72 pieces were produced and sold in less than 16 hours for € 932 each. The proceeds were donated to the Politecnico di Milano.
