Reykjavik means 'Smoky Bay' as when the first settlers arrived they found the hot springs with the steam rising. The city is characterized by colorful roofs of the houses. This makes it unique in the world.
The Showusyourtype guys asked to me to create a poster for their next exhibition in Reykjavik and this is what I did. I played with shapes and colors to take the idea of steam and the roofs of houses. The typeface I create gives a good idea of a "Northern city".
